I always remember TANGERINE by Edward Bloor fondly for the original cover, but looking back at the one I read in 1997, I’m not sure what I liked! Dia Reeves’ A SLICE OF CHERRY cover is both classy and horrible. The original cover of of “THE WOLF ON THE FOLD” I loved, for some odd reason, despite its being completely innocuous and having only marginally to do with the text (excellent book, if you ever have room on your tbr list).

All this to say that your cover will be any number of things, but it won’t ever compare to the work inside —

I try to convince myself not to worry about covers, but … yeah. I always do.

  2. Wonderful, Ethel! I just posted a few covers in FB… I love the way books feel in the hand, and the cover adds so much. Can’t wait to see your new novel next year. Congratulations!
